Waldorf experience: 2 years

Education: University of Rochester, BA & BA

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Ms. Emily graduated from the University of Rochester in New York in 2017, with two bachelor's degrees in Psychology of Human Development and American Sign Language. After graduating, she served a year with AmeriCorps’ City Year Boston. In 2019, she moved back to the south to teach yoga, games, and American Sign Language at a Waldorf-inspired nature school in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2021, she decided to teach abroad, and was the Director of English at an international Montessori kindergarten in Krabi, Thailand. Ms. Emily has spent the last six months solo-backpacking around the world, and she is so grateful to be back in a Waldorf community, and to be able to share the knowledge she has gained from her experiences with her students, their families, and her colleagues.

Emily holds a forest kindergarten teaching certification from Cedarsong Way in Washington state, yoga and children’s yoga teaching certifications, a TEFL certification, and is in the process of earning her Waldorf teaching certification and master's in early childhood education from Sunbridge Institute in New York. In her free time, she loves to travel, go on outdoor adventures, listen to and make music, practice yoga, create art, and spend time with her friends, family, and beloved cat, Katana. Emily is excited to be relocating to Nashville and joining the incredible team at Linden Waldorf School as an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher.
