Celia Hughes

Chair

Celia is a pioneer and thought leader in the field of financial therapy. In addition to her private practice in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, Celia creates courses, leads seminars, and brings financial psychology to organizations through coaching, speaking, and consulting. After fifteen years working in finance, Celia felt called to destigmatize financial stress, worry, shame, and fear and empower people to work on their financial health. With degrees in management and human resources (BA from Trevecca Nazarene University), finance (MBA from Pepperdine University), and financial psychology (graduate certificate from Creighton University), Celia brings expertise in leadership and strategic thinking to her role as Board Chair. She believes that Linden has an important place in the greater Nashville independent school landscape. Celia has seen the beauty of a Linden education first hand in her two children and is grateful to be a part of the school's continued evolution and growth. When not talking about money, healing, and planning for the future, Celia can be found enjoying long walks, a leisurely day in the kitchen, and her many pets.
