Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is tasked with the wise stewardship of Linden's resources and oversight to ensure compliance with the laws and rules that govern us. The Board is made up of Faculty, Parent (including the Parent Association Chair), and Community representatives serving one- to three-year terms. The Director of Administration and Faculty Chair are nonvoting, ex officio members of the Board.
LWS Board Committees
The Executive Committee consists of the officers on the Board, along with the Head of School.
The Development Committee guides the annual giving campaign, plans and hosts both the Spring Gala and the Elves Faire (along with the entire LWS community), and coordinates capital campaign programs to finance improvements, as directed by the Board of Directors.
The Finance Committee reviews the financial structure and health of the school and makes budget and operating recommendations to the Board.
The Governance Committee identifies and organizes the governing documents, policies, and procedures that guide the school.
The Outreach Committee plans and implements outreach efforts designed to familiarize the larger community with Waldorf education, as well as to increase enrollment in the school. Open houses, school tours, and staffing information tables at events are some of the activities of this committee.
Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee provides recommendations for the school’s short- and long-term goals in the following areas: programming, staff, community, facilities, and financial development.
