Admissions Process

Please use the appropriate checklist below if you are applying for Fall enrollment.  Contact the Enrollment Coordinator,  Mari Beth Sartain mbsartain@lindenwaldorf.org , if you are interested in mid-year enrollment.

Early Childhood Education: 
  • Visit: Attend a Windows on Waldorf tour to learn more about the school and Waldorf Education.  Call the Enrollment Coordinator at 615-354-0270 x31 to reserve your space.
  • Application: Submit the application, along with a photograph of your child to the office by January 13. Applications received after this date will be processed as soon as possible but not necessarily by the notification date.
  • Application Fee: A non-refundable $100 fee is to be submitted along with your application.
  • Interview: The Enrollment Coordinator will call to set up a time for a family interview with the class teacher.
  • Reading: Your family will receive a copy of What is a Waldorf Kindergarten? at the interview.  Please review before signing contract.

 
Grades Program
  • Visit: Attend a Windows on Waldorf tour to learn more about the school and Waldorf Education.  Call the Enrollment Coordinator at 615-354-0270 x31 to reserve your space.
  • Application: Submit the application, along with a photograph of your child to the school office by January 13.

  • Teacher Recommendation Form: Please have the current teacher complete our Teacher Recommendation Form and return it to the school office. We need two recommendation forms for students in grades 5-8.
  • Interview: The Enrollment Coordinator will call to set up a time for a parent interview and student assessment. 
  • Classroom Visit:   If  the student is still being considered for admission after the student assessment, the Enrollment Coordinator will call to set up a three-day visit for students applying for grades 2-8.
  • Reading:  You will receive a copy of Understanding Waldorf Education by Jack Petrash. Please review prior to signing contract.

Notification Date
 
Decision letters and contracts will be mailed March 1 for early childhood and will be due back, with the enrollment fee in mid-March.  Grades decisions will be mailed by March 18, 2014.
